MY BIO

Jim Freligh was born in Hollywood, CA and grew up in Los Angeles. When he was just a kid, he would take his tape recorder and record 2 voices and play them back while doing the 3rd voice. He liked the idea of playing different roles and improvising using different voices. He has trained with Susan Blu, Charlie Adler, June Foray, the Kalmensons, improv with Stephen Tobolowsky, SLOW...Children at Play with Tim Simek, and Marc Cashman . From the 36 years of on the job experiences, Jim has a vast collection of real life to draw from when looking for inspiration for characters, situations and just funny observations about human nature. Jim loves doing voice acting because it lends the opportunity to be in another world and be different characters, and it’s a lot of fun. Jim is a member of NAVA (National Association of Voice Actors), SOVAS (Society of Voice Arts and Sciences) and was nominated in 2022 for the Outstanding Voiceover in a Commercial Demo Voice Arts Award. Jim is currently working on original cartoons where he does the animation and voices, and original music where he plays drums, bass, guitar and vocals that will soon be available on music platforms everywhere.
